RADALKID TK025/70

RADALKID TK025/70 is a saturated polyester binder designed for use in two-component polyurethane coating systems, ideal for base and topcoats on wooden and metal surfaces. This binder features fast drying, excellent adhesion, scratch and yellowing resistance, and can be used either alone or in combination with other polyester binders.

RADALKID TK025/70 is a saturated polyester binder with free hydroxyl groups for two-component coating systems.

Properties and Application

  • Used with isocyanates for base and topcoat polyurethane varnishes and coatings for wood.
  • It can be applied as a standalone binder as well as in combination with other polyester binders.
  • Fast drying, rapid crosslinking with isocyanates, excellent adhesion to wood and metals, scratch and yellowing resistance.

  • Hydroxyl number (100% binder): approx. 175 ISO 4629
  • Viscosity (60% butyl acetate, 20°C): 140-180 s ISO 2431
  • Color (delivery form): max. 3 Gardner ISO 4630

Solubility

  • Readily soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, ketones, glycol ethers.
  • Not soluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons.

Compatibility

  • Compatible with saturated polyesters, nitrocellulose, phthalic plasticizers.

Delivery Form

  • 70% butyl acetate

Shelf Life and Storage Conditions

  • Shelf life: 12 months
  • Conditions: original packaging at temperatures up to 25°C
